Richard Feynman was a physicist known for explaining hard science in fun, easy-to-understand ways. He worked on the Manhattan Project as a young scientist and later won the 1965 Nobel Prize in Physics for his work on quantum electrodynamics. In 1986 he helped uncover the cause of the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster, famously demonstrating on live television how a rubber O-ring lost its flexibility in ice water. He also loved playing the bongo drums and picking locks just for fun.
