Yogi Berra was an American baseball catcher and manager who won a record ten World Series championships as a player with the New York Yankees. Before his baseball career, he served in the U.S. Navy and was aboard a rocket boat off Omaha Beach during the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944. Beyond his success on the field, he became famous for his witty, twisted sayings known as "Yogi-isms," such as "It ain't over till it's over." He is remembered as both a baseball legend and one of America's most quoted characters.
