Jimi Hendrix

1942 – 1970

1900s USA · Musician

Jimi Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer widely considered one of the most talented and inventive guitar players in music history. He reimagined what an electric guitar could sound like, blending rock, blues, and pure experimentation — most famously in his searing, feedback-drenched performance of "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the 1969 Woodstock festival. Though he passed away at just 27, his music continues to inspire musicians today.
